Join us at Rosehall Run for an improvised show created by some of Canada’s top comedic performers. The County …Improvised offers big laughs under the big tent – a show rich with local reference, featuring appearances by County “celebrities”, and made up on the spot, based on your suggestions.

The County …Improvised features Carly Heffernan (The Second City, This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Diana Frances (Vancouver Theatresports League, CBC’s The Debaters), Connor Thompson (The Second City, NOW Magazine’s Top Artists to Watch), and Nug Nahrgang (Evil Dead: The Musical, three-time Canadian Comedy Award winner). Stage Manager is Chris Small and Music Director is Lee Cohen.

Friday August 28th – 7:00 pm

Grab a glass of wine from the Rosehall Run tasting room, enjoy a pre-show meal from PICNIC Food Truck (open before and during the performance for meals and snacks), and settle in for an outdoor comedy show tailor-made for this beautiful County location!

Tickets for this show are available online through the Comedy Country Box Office or in person at Rosehall Run winery near Wellington or the County T-Shirt Company in Bloomfield during their regular business hours.

The County …Improvised is performed outdoors, under a tent. Please dress for the weather! The show can continue under most weather conditions, including light rain. In the event of inclement weather, the decision to postpone or cancel the show will be made at the venue at showtime. In the event of a weather cancellation, no refunds will be issued; however, the value of your tickets can be applied to any other Comedy Country 2015 event or Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival 2016 event, or converted into a charitable donation.

Diana Frances

Diana Frances is relatively new to Ontario and is excited to see any area outside of Toronto. She has been nominated for 7 Canadian Comedy Awards for ‘Best Female Improviser’ and has entertained our soldiers in Bosnia, Egypt, Israel and Afghanistan. Diana has written for The Hour (CBC TV) 22 Minutes (CBC TV) The Irrelevant Show (CBC Radio) The Debaters (CBC Radio) and teaches sketch comedy writing at The Second City. She is also an alumni of The Vancouver TheatreSports League and tours with Rock Paper Scissors and the all-female improv group, Leave it to Cleavage.

Nug Nahrgang has been seen in many commercials and films such as Men With Brooms, The Tuxedo, and Owning Mahowney. He’s also been on TV with roles on Dark Rising: Warrior of Worlds, The Ron James Show, and as Coach Schneider on Life With Boys (YTV). Nug has worked with Second City in the Canadian National Touring Company, corporate events, and on Norwegian Cruise Lines. Nug was in two successful runs as Harry in Night of the Living Dead Live, and most recently in a hit run of Cannibal! The Musical. Nug has won 3 Canadian Comedy Awards & produces the improvised comedy podcast Illusionoid (FREE on iTunes!) which was named as one of the Top 10 Live Comedy Shows in Toronto in 2012 by NOW Magazine. He currently improvises with Bad Dog Theatre, Illusionoid, and with Nigel Downer as “N2N”. Twitter: @nug13

Chris Small

Chris Small has been bringing the lights up and down on funny people since 2013, when he began working as a Stage Manager for the Second City Training Centre. Since then has has ran dozens of student graduation shows, worked with both the Education and Touring companies at Second City, and most recently acted as the technical coordinator for one of the official venues of the 2015 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. Chris is currently the theatre manager and technical director of the theatre space at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, a prestigious Toronto high school. When not operating the lights, he is in front of them as a member of The Rocket Scientists, a Toronto based award winning sketch comedy troupe

Lee is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, sound designer, and music educator. He is the Musical Director for The Second City’s National Touring Company, toured with their acclaimed show The Meme-ing Of Life, and regularly performs in family and student shows. He teaches musical improv at theatres in Toronto, performs with sketch and improv groups, plays with bands around the GTA, and his career has taken him as far as Montreal, Albuquerque, and New Orleans. Lee was the Musical Director for Quarter-Life Crisis: the Musical in the 2015 Toronto Fringe Festival, the Keystone Theatre’s silent play, “A Bit Of Business” in the 10th annual Festival Of Clowns, and he won the Shaw Festival’s Ragtime Piano contest.
